Creative
Process

It is important to me that you are aware of what you can expect so that there is no miscommunication.

You are the expert in targeting the correct audience for your business or product. My role as the designer is to translate your vision for the project into a quality, tangible result.

That said, I’m seeking your expertise, clear communication and open conversation about your goals. In addition to clear communication, it is also important to me that you feel assured in my ability to create a design that meets your expectations.

Discovery

Once contacted, we come together to understand your needs, brainstorm possible directions for your ideal design(s), and create a strategy to make it happen.

I always get excited about a new project, but to make sure we’re a good fit, I take each inquiry into careful consideration: How passionate are you about the project? Do you have a deep understanding of your goals? Do you show an interest in working with me specifically?

After you and I have a clear understanding of the project, two documents will be sent to you, (1) the project goals and the terms of our agreement and (2) the invoice for the initial deposit to lock in your project. Once that’s paid, I’m ready to get started and move on to the next phase!

Approval

In this last phase, the final concept is reviewed in detail before delivery. Any adjustments that need to be made are completed during this process and any exports are also inspected for quality.

Once you’re pleased and the design has your stamp of approval, I’ll follow up with a final invoice. Your payment covers the design process and gives you full rights to the artwork to do with whatever you’d like!

After the approved designs are paid in full, I’ll send all final artwork and files to you directly through email.

Money is not a focus throughout the discovery process. It is my responsibility to understand what the project will require and what value it will provide before discussing a price. While it is possible that a price quote can be determined from our initial conversation, sometimes an additional consultation may be required.

I do not charge hourly. Instead I devote myself to finding a solution to the established goals based on the value the final solution provides to your organization. It would be very difficult to quantify the time and effort spent both at my desk and away during the design portion of the process.

Creative

Now the fun starts and ideas are brought to life! In this stage I familiarizing myself with your goals and taking a deeper look into your target audience as well as any competitors.

I explore ideas and create concepts by sketching, tweaking type, and designing graphics that will best achieve your goals.

As with any relationship, communication is key, so I’m just an email away and always here for questions as the creation process gets going and we move into the next phase.
